What's next for Elektron? (Part 1)

I know!
A box that combines Digitone, Digitakt, in the format of Octatrack.
With Octatrack features of course, and 64 “voices”, 16 tracks.

Yay!

edit: and polyphonic sample play.

Fair enough but this is the number 1 most requested feature so I’d imagine it’s a priority for them.

Octatrack mk3 MUST still be happening… if they dont totally change direction of the company.

It could be updated in so many good ways and it must be their most prominent product in a lot of ways.

why not? they have three analog synths in production right now, including one that uses the digi form factor.

What are folks going to do if Superbooth comes and goes and we see nothing from Elektron?

Elektron figured out so many cool elements early on and then refined a lot of aspects but lost a bunch of cool sounds/possibilities in all but Octatrack. In my view they could really coast off everything they’ve done up to now forever, if they would just bring back some of the grit and fun of MD machines and other cool aspects of the silver boxes that have been brought up ad nauseam and the like

Still thirsting for an Overmix over here:

  • 8 tracks
  • 4 channel EQ per track
  • 2 assignable filters per track
  • 8 dedicated sequencable effects blocks (delay, reverb, chorus, SRR, BRR, compressor)
  • 8 1/4” stereo ins
  • USB host for class-compliant devices
  • option to assign digital ins and specify whatever collection of individual outs from each attached USB device, basically busses for collections of outs from digital devices

Those would be some huge stereo ins!

dont forget warble. can never have enough warble.

i think that was implied by the “8 tracks”, as in 8 tracks of warble.

Then we buy more erica synths :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Not sure about the configuration, but a mixer with separate eq’s, fx and overbridge enabled would be most welcomed

I thought 9 1/2" might be a bit much

I saw in a dream that OT3 is coming as a VST.

Yeah, it’s called Drambo.
And it is everything you would ever want from an OT successor.

But the only thing I want from an OT successor is for it to not be a VST :innocent:.
