I used to get my dinner at a gaff like that in Cheetham hill. Don’t know what it was called, it didn’t have a sign up. Plastic pub beer garden benches and one different curry each day. I think it was about £2.50 for a curry with rice. I was working on a job over the road and It was just a constant stream of taxi drivers and warehouse workers every day. I’m prob going back 30 years tho… which is a scary thought
If the OP wants a proper Mancunian cafe they need to go to The Lunch Box on Cambrian Street. Nowhere else comes close
