What’s your artist name and why did you choose it?

Good ole LaVern Winston, it is not my real name. Back in the OG Call of Duty Modern Warfare days, my brother and I often led the leaderboards, and we wanted to differentiate ourselves from the all-too-common “XXXgRIM_rEaPeR_sLaYeRXXX” flavor of gamertag. So we went for the complete opposite effect and made extremely proper sounding names. LaVern Winston and Barnabus McDoug were born.

Sprinkled in between, I am also Skathious. The god of skateboarding who I created for a Greek mythology project in elementary school. I was able to justify playing with a TechDeck in front of the whole class, how could
I pass that up? I actually attribute this moment as being a very early experience where I discovered I very much enjoy tinkering and building, often with an outside the box mindset. We were given a poster board and were instructed to present our project on it. I turned the poster board into the half pipe and presented my project on it.

Pebcap and choose it as it means problem exists between chair and person. More of a self deprecating name. It fits the techno and harder style of music that I create.

Love this!

Fat Benjamin, because the hope is that when people meet me I do not appear as fat as they imagined. Oh, and also because my name is NOT Benjamin.

Hehehe. Exactly

The Artistname which I used in the last few years was ASTROKILL. ASTROKILL is a robot in a book about robot fairytales. I liked the idea of creating the soundtrack for ASTROKILLs space adventures.
But the older I get the more It feels not like me anymore. Future releases and productions will be released with my real name

Buck washenfold.

I got a booking for a festival through a friend and needed a name ASAP! I was stopped in traffic in front of a laundromat, et voila

I’ve been considering dropping the name recently

I’ve had a friend who moved to Malta and he did really like it.
I didn’t have any strings attached back then and moved there as well.
The place where I could stay was a shared apartment and one of the guys who lived there couldn’t pronounce my name.
my real name is Zsolt (pronounced Jolt maybe) but he couldn’t say it.
I had a different alterego back then, but later I wanted to change my ways, so that’s the story of how I became zzlotss.
