On elektron boxes, when I’m building up a live composition (spanning 8 tracks for example) I seem to continually go back into each pattern and tweak small elements again and again. But if I have used various parts/kits in composition then it gets really messy and I seem to ruin the track and get muddled myself.
Another method I’ve tried is just building up one single dense pattern with all sounds that fit together, then copy and paste it (eg. 7 times to form 8 tracks)… and just deconstruct backwards to the first pattern to form a growing composition. This is how I worked with ableton, but it doesn’t seem to translate well to working with hardware.
I’m just curious to hear how people build compositions for live play using the OT and any of the other elektron boxes together? Any crazy workflows?
