The other day I switched my octatrack on and discovered this little black stain on my instrument. At first, I thought it was just a stain, but it seems to be: some dead pixels ; or a little piece of I-don’t-know-what right between the 2 parts of the screen.
Does someone have an idea?
Should I try to repair this (because it bothers me a little).

If it’s on every screen then dead pixels might be the problem. If you can’t live with it, a new display would be necessary.
But I have seen smears like this also on LCD displays under local pressure differences between the display and the protecting glass …
Having some dead pixels does not necessarily mean, that the area will grow and make the display unusable …

Problem solved, it was apparently something between the display and the protecting glass

Did you clean it in a particular way or it leaved by itself?
