What is the best Roland Boutique?

Perhaps it’s because a big part of the 303 is in the sequencer

Might be the wrong thread for this question but I didn’t a boutique specific thread. Do we think Roland is done with the boutique line? NGL I wish they’d do a JP-08A.

Surprised by the low JX-08 count. Such an interesting sounding synth (the boutique and original).

I like the TB-3 over the TB-03, but what I like even better is the Cyclone TT. I get my 303 there, so if I was going to get some boutiques, I’d go for the poly synths and drums.

Quick shout out to the KM-25 keyboard. Shure it’s utter crap if you’re a professional keys player. But having a two octave keyboard ready that just plugs into your module and doesn’t need any batteries or cables? And being able to prop up your little synth with it so that it has the perfect angle and looks like a vintage synth from LEGO? And you can also remove the angle and have a 202 sized compact synth with keys that’s sturdy. And you can always make your module a keys version or just a small module, and the MIDI in will always be available to sequence even with keys attached. Come on, this thing is fantastic! Who else loves it?

I reckon its great for all those reasons too.

Yeah I have it with the SH-01a and it’s great for that. Wish it worked a bit better as a midi controller for other gear, but I seem to recall it can only transpose octaves on the boutiques and not when used to send midi notes to other gear. Or some annoying limitation like that. But for its intended use, it’s good.
