I just discover through this video on youtube the analog four.
I just wanted to know what is the little white thing plug in the analog four with a little screen on it and keys… (not the Alesis keyboard )
Thanks in advance.
Nice material there
Thanks! Yes nice gear here.
I hoped it were cheaper… 900€! It’s huge… But I guess it’s worth it
Holy Hell! That’s my band! Haha. I haven’t posted much ( a few noob tech questions, occasional advice) but i LOVE this forum. As a Tempest owner, I can unequivocally say…this forum is infinitely more positive, helpful and creative than pretty much, well…everyone. When i was writing this album and jammed up in CV hell…it was Elektronauts to the rescue! The OP-1 plays nice with the A4. We use the A4 as a master clock for everything and the OP sounds great running through the filters and effects track. Really enjoy feeding the A4 into the OP sample engine and then mangling back through the inputs. As a guy who started out in hardcore with guitar and a really crappy Yamaha FM synth, the A4 has been the most inspiring instrument I’ve ever owned, both for performance and composition…
awesome, where are you from ?
Great performance, I just discovered your band DanB and I do love your music !
I’m going to try find your EP1 on iTunes.
Cheers
Damn, Dan is in the place ^^
This song is one of my favourite :
Thanks for sharing tillets, loved the performance Dan, and on the infamous KEXP!
Edit: and you got to meet Cheryl, so jealous haha…
Cool!! So Dan you are owner of the tempest, and all the stuff that Devojka plays? You are the composer?
Hope you’ll pass by France…
Canada…
Hey, thanks guys! KEXP was kind of a dream show for me. I grew up across the border and occasionally picked it up late at night. Really opened my head up to a lot of music i wouldn’t have otherwise heard. As for the tech stuff, I “built” the table and when Devojka joined the band she took to it immediately. I usually program rough structure and place holder patches, figure out vocals and then let her tear it apart. One of the first things we worked on was the song “Ancient” (first one on KEXP). She deconstructed the drum pattern on the Tempest until it was all tuned resonance pinging and basically gave the song some much needed life. But, it’s really the A4 that’s the heart and soul of the whole thing. I love the almost sci-fi/Dr Who/otherworldly quality it has. I waste a lot of potential songwriting time just losing myself in a patch. And yeah, I’m Canadian. Actually…I’m programming some new songs in frozen Montreal right now. It’s -20 out.
France! Next spring. Hopefully more than just Paris. I freaking love touring France.
After watching the video, you have a new fan, Dan! I really enjoyed the live versions, but the studio versions are also quite awesome.
Is that a Moogerfooger on the table as well?
Thanks for sharing, Bordeaux is pretty nice (famous for wine!) you have to do a date there!
Can’t wait to see you there in Paris
So cool. I searched moogerfooger in A4 topic, for my own personal reasons, found this thread, watched/listened, on decent stereo, the video and now I love your band DanB. Keep up the good work.
