What gear would you like to see elektron do next?

An OT MK 3 which can store all in each pattern and not only in 4 parts.

There are 4 parts per bank, 64 parts per project. Iā€™d prefer 256 parts, one per pattern possibility, whatever the bank is.
16 part per bank would be very good. Possible on MKI /MKII.

Yes please!!!

Interesting that in this Superboth DNK video Cenk is wearing a Monomachine shirtā€¦ foreshadowing?

ā€¦or maybe just a reference to the original MM keyboard design perhaps.

Please Elektron donā€™t do any new machines for a while.

Instead embrace the basic principles of the Japaneese Kaizen philosophy.
Underlying the Kaizen approach is a dedication to improving effectiveness, satisfaction, and waste.

In that spirit I wish a lot of work would be put into improving current line of products.

Firmware updates bringing the most requested features to the machines we have would be a home run hit with the fans/users of Elektron boxes.

As an example I recommend looking into what Fujifilm is doing with their digital cameras at the moment. Fuji fans/users are crazy about this Kaizen philosophy and really love the company for that. Fujifilm systematically brings new firmware to their cameras. Even older camera series get major updates and refined features years after their prime time. The features implemented are really big sometimes, bringing for example 4k video recording to cameras that didā€™nt have it. Or it could be a major autofucus speed update to cameras or internal flog video recording. Big things that really can really change and improve how existing product will work.

So much can be done just with software firmware updates. It would mean that all the gear around the world will get much more use. It means less waste, more sales of current products. More happy customers would mean happy Elektron company. :metal:

Hello, I would like to have an All In One device - a standalone music production unit with mixing and some mastering effects - smth like Akai Force but to be compact, simple (maybe with big touch(?) screen) and mixing effects to have smth like DAW in hardware way.

Hello, everybody!

What do you think about a device like Akai Force (standalone music production with mixing effects), but from Electron and to be compact?

The idea is to have All In One device (even digital, no need for analog) for music production, without a laptop and DAW.

Why? A personally do not want to use a computer for music production (I started music production on a computer about 20 years ago. Used FLStudio, Reason, Logic Pro, Bitwig - btw two of the last are my favorite, especially Bitwig). But for some reason I would like to have a standalone hardware music unit, like Akai Force, but compact and simple. Maybe like combining Digitone and Digitakt with some mixing and mastering effects (too much?) andā€¦

What do you thinkā€¦ should we ask this from Electron?

Thanks.

Go for a Teenage Engineering OP-Z and be happy :grinning:

I can hardly imagine an instrument more capable more mobile and more powerful than the OP-Z.

Edit: Well i misunderstood i guess. Thought youā€™re meaning a mobile Production Unit.
If mobility is not a factor than the combination of Digitone and Digitakt or the Digitone plus OP-Z (Sampling Feature is coming via Software Update) is a good and not so expansive ā€œall-in-oneā€ Setup.

Hello, thanks, it seems to be interesting, but I think It should be more ā€˜proā€™ā€¦ after using Logic and Bitwig youā€™ll feel probably a ā€œteenagerā€ with this device

Donā€™t you think that the Akai Force is compact?

IMO ā€œall-in-oneā€ and compact may sometimes be a contradiction by itself.

A second thought would be that I have seen many great units, which have been specialised to do one thing excellent and some units trying to be a jack-of-all-trades, but providing mediocre performance only - or - if those jacks were excellent, they were quite expensive.

I prefer to have a couple of excellent hardware units, which can be hooked up to build one or more flexible synchronised setups. With many knobs, sliders, displays.

You should look at the gotharman Little deformer 3. It is not very famous, but it is incredible.
You can use it as a poly synth, a sampler, audio recorder, FX box, midi/cv sequencer ā€¦
You can even customize the hardware (add audio and CV I/O, analo filter, double the internal memory,ā€¦) so that it suits your particular need. And it does all of that perfectly.

Akaiā€™s Force is bigā€¦ at least I think soā€¦

Some people would probably ask ā€œwhy do you need anything else after there are so many powerful DAWsā€, those who are into modular synths also have solution.
But I would prefer to have a pro All In One unitā€¦ without computerā€¦

Thanks, I had a look on Gotharmanā€™s devices.

I see - for me this unit is quite compact.

If I work outside-the-box I love to have as many physical and haptic controls as possible. I think, there is a tendency that a more compact and small unit might need too much of menu-diving for me or requires to learn a lot of ā€œhot-keyā€ combinations to work fluently. I like self explaining interfaces much more, particularly, if I didnā€™t use the unit for some time

ā€œThe impossible dreamā€ Many have tried and all have failed to deliver in some way or another IMHO.

I think the reasons for this are many, but to be all things to all people is a big ask, and this does not mean that you cannot get someway there, but there will always be less flexibility and more compromises than youā€™d get with separate dedicated units, each chosen for their merits.

I love the idea, but am not convinced Iā€™d ever find such a thing.

this is an ā€œideaā€ā€¦ but there is already Akai Force, just maybe to ask Akai to cut it at least half a size  or wait until Electronā€™s DigiForce
