What do you do while bouncing?

When it comes to the final step of your work and you hit „bounce“ on your DAW you have to wait some minutes untill its done. If you bouncing online you have to listen to the track over and over (and sometimes over and over and over and …) again. What do you do in this time? Listening on full volume and just enjoying? Listen on low volume and checking fb, instagramm or tinder instead? Reading elektronauts or a book? Eating a melone? Open windows for some fresh air after heavy smoking? Would be nice to have some tips :upside_down_face:

I mute the bouncing if it’s online and listen to GusGus Over song instead…

When I “bounce” and upload my stuff I usually go for a walk or do something completely different then music.

I must be dumb because I never bounce anything in my DAW. Heck I don’t even know what bounce means.

Bounce means rendering your project to a final audio file.

I’m scared of that button I thought it would make my computer bounce up and down on my desk and might break or something… :joy: Thanks for clarifying so I don’t have to worry…

Well thats another story :joy: for me bouncing is esssntial part of getting a track finished :laughing:

This evening during bouncing, i made dinner for the girls. :heart_eyes:

I make myself a coffee, put a Cigarette or two into my pocket and while moving towards my balcony i notice that Bouncing is already complete! :wink: Audio really doesnt take long on a decent computer.

When im rendering my Videos though (which is like bouncing too), i make myself a coffee, put a cigarette or two into my pocket and while moving towards my balcony i notice: 11% complete. I visit my balcony, drink my coffee while smoking a cigarette or two. and when im getting back in i look at the screen and notice: 47% complete. So i make myself another coffee, put another Cigarette or two into my pocket - and the story continues! :smiley:

Im a very nervous person. I just cant wait for stuff to finish - i hate this! :slight_smile:

I definitely don’t do anything else on the computer while it’s doing the bounce, as it’s likely to cause a glitch / interference with the rendered audio.
So fast on a modern computer anyway
