What did you make? DIY stand, desks, racks, etc

I was thinking this would be great spot to collect everyone’s DIY furniture for their gear. We’ve got so many creative folks with brilliant ideas that vary from wildly complex to simple elegance. Thought it be neat to have a thread for inspiration and how toos on building the kit that holds our kit. I know I want to build some stands once my shop is organized and not freezing.

A little slide-out surface that goes far back when out of use so my legs don’t bump into it. When I am using it, it’s a nice height from my chair. All cables hidden away, which I like. It was a clean and simple job.

Hell yeah! I got some of those clamp on drawer sliders for my studio desks but to have anything taller on it I had to get extensions which killed the room for my legs. I want to build a custom desk down the road for my main midi controller and sequencer that’s actually sturdy.

This is the basic design. Basic, cheap, bit rough - but works. There’s a few mm clearance for the OT and DN!

I just showed off my DIY rack in the setups thread. Built it for the Six to sit on and house a patch pay. Worked awesome for that detail but a mixer and patch bay was too much for this drunk burn out! So I found another use!

This was my inspiration for this thread. Haha!

It’s the most organic sound ever.

It’s a secret multidimensional natural soundscape device prototype. I should not have disclosed that.

I’ve heard of talking to plants, but are we supposed to be listening as well?

ill contribute my ramshackle standing desk. its two of the same cheap desks zip tied together and then zip tied to milk crates. not a whole lot more to it. not having to deal with two chairs at the desks is the biggest improvement, feels like i freed up a whole bunch of limited floor space.

I’ll have to ask.

Simple Digi stand to go behind my AK

My Boog and REV2 are boxed up…I have stands for them too…but thinking the setup you see here may be what I stick with for a while.

no problems finding the root note.

I printed ton of stands.
And some cases for DIY devices.
And a lot of other useful or fun stuff. Don’t know how I lived without a printer.

I’ve never had a desire to get a printer except for making stands and what not.

Does repurposing count? I wanted one of those jasper stands for my JP-8000, Digitakt, iPad, and Microfreak, but they’re just too expensive for me right now. I took extra Roland V-drums rack tubes and legs and made a wannabe jasper stand.

I don’t have all the neat rack attachments to mount my gear so I had to improvise a little.

I posted about it before in the “my setups” thread.
