What determines the OT memory for FLEX?

Is it a chip or a limitation in the software? Is there any way to maybe extend the memory beyond the 80mb?

Well it’s ram based so I’m expecting HW but I’d bet it’s limitation controlled by SW so that the actual ram can be tight with all the work it has to do when mangling etc.

Programmer will know for fact but that’s my guess

Its the in built Ram memory…im afraid thats the limit.

For more space you must use audio from your compact flash card via static slots…

Almost certainly a chip spec. I don’t see how Elektron would benefit from throttling 6 year old hardware.

I figured it was a hardware chip. To bad we can’t add more RAM on our own.
