What Are You Listening To Lately (Part 1)

Just listened to R Plus Seven on NPR, it’s a much smoother ride, over all.
I discovered Oneohtrix Point Never quite late, when the afore-mentioned mind-blowing occured on my first listen of Sleep Dealer, and I was so pleasantly surprised by his range when I listened through the back-catalogue, good stuff.

tune. I fucking love Depthcharge. J Saul Kane is a genius - " Cool it Vixen" is another fave of mine…

currently enjoying DROKK by Geoff Barrow/Ben Salisbury… an 'imagined soundtrack for Mega City One '… it’s awesome. Obie Two Voice goodness… lush & brutal all at the same time.

I don’t know if it was mentioned but the new album by The Feild is amazing.

Rubycon by Tangerine dream, and Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk

LFO ‘Frequencies’ (album)

I think it would be fun to do a cover or remix of a song on this album (‘Frequencies’). The style is simple enough, and it would be a great way to learn my machines more. And LFO is one of my all time favorite “bands”.

If you’re into '80s pop nostalgia and Hip-hop with a high, glossy sheen to it, check out Onra’s Overlooked EP “Deep In the Night”. Probably one of the most unknown and talented hip-hop producers working today- and he’s both French and Chinese! Check out his other stuff if you like sampling brilliance and the recent EP if you like 80s synths!

^^ Sorry. When I go to edit the post the link appears correctly. When I go out of edit its not though. !?

Since the band Tool is too lame to put their albums up on Spotify, I had to go buy their CDs at a brick and mortar store - so 2001. Anywayz, Undertow and Aenima are amazing albums that I’m getting some mileage out of at the gym and on my way to work at the moment.

I also listen to Carl Cox’s Global Radio Show every week. Powerful stuff!

On Spotify I listen to the following regularly:
Washed Out
Soundgarden
Alice in Chains
Butthole Surfers - Electric Larryland

I live in Seattle
