The death of Perttu was the saddest thing that happened in Finnish culture last decade, followed closely by the death of Mika Vainio.

Once again we’re in total agreement. I didn’t know Perttu personally but was absolutely devastated when I heard the news. I’d just seen him play live with Imatran Voima a day earlier too. Love his music (I realize Tähtiportti is not his band), love his writing and still listen to his old radio programs often. Never imagined the death of someone I had never met would touch me so profoundly.
