New Knower album!
Holy heck! Its out now?!
I got the announcement 15 hours ago. Out today!
Only 2 super tight tracks and one slow meh track on free listening on bc yet.
I was interested, but after their little promo announcement on YT, it tainted their vibe. I’d probably thought it hilarious when I was a kid, if they were kids, I know it’s a joke and flashes (joke) but dude looks old and should know better, especially due to todays climate.
The promo ends with…
“…if you buy the album and put it in YouTube I will kill you”
maybe I’m just old and stodgy now
I just watched it. I’m all for a joke and whatnot.
The thing that rubs me the wrong way is, sure, you can make money and do it exclusively on bandcamp for a while. Thats fine(we can’t all be hobbiests) but why do the tracks have to be locked behind purchase?
Haven’t we all been burned from the pre-streaming era of buying an album(even from our favorite artists) only to find there were only a couple of good tracks on it?
Reliving my student days with this collection of Brummie techno:
Giles Martin just shadow dropped a new (Atmos) mix of Pet Sounds. While his Beatles were hit or miss, this is absolutely magnificent.
There has arguably never been a better album.
Sitting here being blown away by the smoothness of his drumming and the progression/variations of superfunk.
