Lovely!
is this the Swans from the 80s infamy?!
Indeed! Somewhat older and more hi-fi these days, but still massive and absolutely gorgeous!
it has been years years since for me and was not expecting this colorful piece…when did this change happen? agree, gorgeous.
easily one of the best live bands i’ve seen.
Same here, they are amazing live! I’ve heard them 4 times in Copenhagen and 2 times in Berlin. Massive experiences each time!
They reformed in 2010, and have made a series of really great albums since. Lot to dig into, if you haven’t heard these.
Together with the new one “To Be Kind” is probably my favorite - especially this song:
thanks for sharing and i will check it out. back in olden days they had a bit more somber tone but have always been dramatic and theatrical in there form…but that track had a brightness that was new to me…thank you again.
incredible!
This is not acustic but still groovy. Maybe minimal or house and psychedelic can describe it a bit.
been really digging this early polyrhythmic minimal fm goodness by @Ess
does anyone know (or maybe @Ess will chime in) what device(s) this album was made on? sounds like some of the kicks and fm kicks are nanoloop 2 but definitely sounds more full/varied than nanoloop 2, to my ears at least.
anywho, it’s an incredible album, just 2 tracks, def worth a good listen through
Blast from the past!
It’s made with a Sega Megadrive controlled by Little Scale’s GenMDM MIDI interface. :—)
wow that is so darn cool! love what you did on this album. listening to it on repeat not going to lie lol. coming from a jazz guitar background, i’m trying to “transcribe” it by ear onto the Digitone2 i recently purchased. it’s really helping teaching me what fm params do to sound in a practical way. it’s my first elektron device and loving it so far.
thanks for chiming in Ess
