He’s good live too. L.I.E.S is consistently coming up with great releases. NGLY and KWC92 in particular are outstanding.
Mega MEGA tune right here:
NICE…thats a really good one by [d] !
i think its his best to date
OK… here are a couple more that may not be on your playlist…
Issa Bagayogo (Mali) (check out the rhythm)…
also from the northern deserts of Mali, Tamikrest…
and to finish for tonight, also from N. Mali - Tinariwen…
and with queen of Malian blues - Lalla Badi
ahh… yes.
@Unifono @phaelam Oh you sweeties
@123alastairj I haven’t listened to any “modern” EBM, but this is kinda alright. Something about the attitude is missing; I still don’t think you can do better than Nitzer Ebb, DAF, F242, and releases from Germany in the early 90s.
Can’t get much more heart-pounding than this:
I’m listening to whatever burned-CD I have in my car. This week it was AE live (Glasgow, Domino), FSOL - Dead Cities, Field Day Live, t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 - 星間性交, and other random stuff.
Speaking od EBM, The Horrorist just came out with a new 12" : https://aufnahmeundwiedergabe.bandcamp.com/album/programmed
It’s really good. I love this guy and everything he puts out. Fire Fumania and Manic Panic are classics.
Yes, love Nitzer, but at the same time wouldn’t want to listen to a bunch of bands trying to cop their style/attitude wholesale - better to just listen to Nitzer
Sweet !
Have Daft Punk ripped this one off yet?
FSOL sampling the Predator film up the wazoo!
always a jam. if I ever play that it’s almost always in the same set with Tom Hooker
and of course Soup for One (which they obviously have… um… ‘borrowed’)
I’ve been listening to my girlfriend telling me I can’t buy gear anymore
have you written a song for her yet?
