Weird transpose problem

Hey Guy’s,

When I play (for example) a C4 with the internal keyboard I hear a C4, but when I put it in the sequencer of my A4 it’s played back as a G4 (+7 semitones). The led of the transpose button is half lit witch means the transpose is active, but when I press the transpose button it is set to 0 (no transpose).
I tried to transpose it back (-7 semitones) and safe it with [transpose]+[save], this seems to work, but when i start a new pattern the problem is back.
I also tried to clear the transpose by pressing [transpose]+[clear], this does not work, the transpose led stays half lit and the problem remains.
The only thing that works is to deactivate the transpose functionality for each track, but that would mean I cannot use the transpose anymore…
This problem only appears in this project for saved kits and new blank kits and patterns. I don’t have this problem in other projects.
I hope I explained this well because my English is not so good…

Many thanks for all the problems I have solved already thanks to this forum. I really hope someone can help me with this one!

Ok, One more thing I just mentioned is that the half lit transpose led is flashing (going on and off) Does anyone know what that means? I can’t find it anywhere!

Thanks again

a half lit transpose LED ? … that sounds VERY exiting !!! never seen that … could imagine there is some weird midi or cc data being sent from a wonky circuit inside your external midi keyboard, and the a4 tries to interpret that …

Hey, Thanks for the reply! That might be something, I have a midi keyboard attached and have been fooling around with the settings…
The half lit transpose LED means (according to the manual) that the transpose is active (set to anything else then 0) however, in this case it’s set to 0 and still transposing.
I also think the flashing of the LED has something to do with it. I associate it with some sort of lock. It is flashing in the same pulse as a parameter lock…

I’ll check my keyboard and settings, see if it does any good.

Thanks again

…keep us updated…i got strange transpose things going on either…

I will keep you up to date!
Just disconnected the usb and midi keyboard and disabled all the incoming signals, relaunched the project, but the problem remains… I keep on digging!
In the mean time, all help and thoughts are very welcome and much appreciated

Cheers!
