Not sure what’s going on and if I’m missing something really obvious. But getting this -

Record melody track 1.

Record bass track 2.

Something Steals/mutes track 1 first note.

Delete trigs track 2 so in theory I’m back to where I was after step 1.

Still can’t hear first note on track one, until sequence plays til end and starts again, then first note is audible…

maybe is in POLY with all four selected…put all in mono

Could it be that the first trig is using microtiming?

(keep that first trig pressed and push arrow right)

If the microtiming meter is displaying a negative value, the trig will not be played on the first round of the pattern

Not 100% sure but I don’t think so. I ended up deleting the first trig and recoding the note again. With metronome pre-roll and recording on first step. The trig registered (red led) but no sound on that note on playback until the pattern plays through til the end and starts again. No automation or Plock stuff going on. Weird…

I tried this earlier and no luck

Exactly this behaviour can be accomplished by placing a trig on 1 manually, and while keeping it pressed press the left arrow a few times.
You will then see a lit trig 1 that only plays from the first repeat of the pattern. (after the first loop, that is)

The same result will follow if you record manually with a preroll and play ever so slightly before the beat…
