and I totally get 0-1 = 1, 1-2 = 2, etc…
but working with microsecond waveforms couldn’t we assume 0=1, 1=2, etc…
Check this thread:
The tone you get with identical start and end bothers me and i’d prefer silence, like the OT offers for rate. Whether there’s a good reason for this or it’s not sample accurate, i’d sure like to know to create good looping chains too. If there’s a small finite error or reason for a non zero loop (with workaround for that) then it explains why it sounds better as the sample length increases relative to this. There are 121 nodes and 120gaps
Why do they have to match? If each sample’s start and end points are cut to zero crossings, they shouldn’t click. Or is this an issue with the machine not reading the file properly?
Yes, please post them!

+1
I haven’t made anymore since those first seven. I found even they were popping when I used them in chromatic or just played them to quickly back to back.
They’re fine for pads or drones though.
I’ve been trying to learn apple logic and just put those waves on the back burner. Maybe I’ll try and get three more done and release ten packs.

Pretty much, yeah.
there are 13 chains
These are incredibly useful! Thank you!
Really opens up the Rytm as a synth.
And really makes you wish it had more LFOs
Thanks a lot!
Thanks, very useful!
Glad you like them. Are ya’ll get decent results with them?
With the sine waves I got a little creative and didn’t double up all the waves.
If you have any suggestions just let me know. I’ll do more eventually. When I do, I’ll bump the thread. I’ll just keep adding to the Dropbox folder.
And these are straight from analog kid. Thank you AK, whoever you are.
Getting very good results. Thanks again.
When I have the time, I am going to do a couple chains using NI Monark.
The sound of the “load” circuit, the osc feedback, and the 3 oscs mixed never lets me down. It will be interesting to hear Rytm’s analog circuitry on top of it.
I’ll post them here. I’ll also be doing some general sample (non single cycle waveform) chains with various instruments. I have a boatload of old Machinedrum samples that can easily be split into 15 hits per chain. Also, Chris Randall demo Audio Damage gave away some eurorack modular drum sounds he designed for Maschine, that I could chain. I’ll confirm with him for permission.
Also, have you experimented with taking pre-existing Octatrack sample chains, and trimming off the last two hits to make it conform to the Rytm a bit better? I may give that a go. It would be nice to breathe more life into some of the publicly shared OT chains.
Maybe someone can take a stab at some ‘wavetable’ chains a la PPG or Waldorf Microwave…
The pre existing OT wave chains were my inspiration but I bet they would hard to get get just right. I really think have waves doubled up helps a lot. If you get good results on scwf please post them. I’ve done synth/sample chains as well. While 15 should work, I used 12 or 20 and 30 personally and they have given me good results so far.
I could try other waves later but I will still be making dozens more of these akwf. If you have numerous waves that are all the same length from the beginning to end, it’s easy to make chains.
Btw, anybody know how to recalibrate a??
This is a really cool idea, but it is such a shame that you can only have 1 destination per LFO, unlike the A4 where you can have 2.
If you could modulate both the start and end point with a single LFO, you could effectively sweep through a wavetable.
Here is the 1st sample chain from The euro rack modular drums pack, synthesized by Chris Randall (Audio Damage, Sister Machine Gun, Analog Industries).

Note that these are the shortest 15 samples from the 2 packs he created, combined.
I’ll do the longest samples in a seperate chain.
You can certainly get similar sounds with the Rytm’s machines. I like havin these as samples for layering with those machines without losing voices. Very thick sounds.
edit:
Here are the additional longest samples from the pack. Split into 12 hits in the chain: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g3fdncyvjx42gpy/AnalogIndustries-EuroDrum12SampleChain-LongHits.wav?dl=0
I’ll also submit these to the Files section of the forum, should the links become inactive in the future.
Been getting a LOT of use out of the dcwf fluplukalgostrbox and fm chains! Thanks again!
Also, here’s a 30 slice bass waveform chain of various waves from Waldorf Pulse and Minimoog. https://www.dropbox.com/s/drs7egsyyn0vpaw/Pulse%26MiniMoog30Waves.wav?dl=0
