two new parameters for VCF were added, to allow the analog VCF react on MPE PitchBends independently. They are on the first screen of VCF and pretty self-explanatory - On/Off and Amount
also, I reworked a bit all algos, balancing volumes of them, fixed stupid error in Fold and increased detune amount for 3SAW algo. Seems like I will not change these 4 anymore, but let we wait for official release.
yeah I think I was kind of team no built in FX when I first got the M but after getting the Q it has some really nice fx that can add a lot to a sound, especially if you like that sort of 90s 00s era electronic sound. Would be cool to see some FX that met the āflavorā of the M⦠actually the MFX pedal and chase bliss lossy both kind of meet the vibe of the M, hard to imagine that waldorf would go all in making something that fits the vibe like that though.
it really would be quite a synth. especially if they added effects. the form factor is what I disliked most about the M as it made it awkward to position well near a full keyboard (at least, in my studio). itād be great if they didnāt even expand on the controls, just spaced them out more to keep it shallower than the Quantum.
Not quite dissimilar to the PPG, the process of generation is the flavor. So while there are OTO Biscuits and WMD Geiger Counter Pros, Ottobit Jrs and all manner of ālo-fiā PT2399 wizardry, you really need a M, Microwave, or inspired gear like the Industrial Music Electronics Piston Honda to proper generate the filth.
Weird tease. It seems like itād have to be M related considering it basically started as a 1 to 1 knobby version of the Microwave 1 in terms of voice architecture. A 16 voice m keyboard with poly aftertouch for like $4k would be something. Other than that, maybe they are doing a microwave plugin which would also be kind of weird.
Thank you! I was being sad that there is no unison!
Iāve tried fixed notes for oscillators + random on pan, filter etc + sending multiple midi notes. But itās not really practically playable with a fixed tone
What about four identical voices in multitimbral mode, mixed externally? Not quite the same, but with minor variations between them, you could get some pretty huge sounds.
So, how comfortable is it to use the M as a multitimbral synth? Compared to a Digitone or something like that. I love to play around with complex synths but it really bothers me if I get only one sound at a time out of a pretty big machine⦠And I also hate synths which donāt represent the current state of a patch. Which is something you get with the Elektrons.
Or in other words: Can I use the M like a Digitone minus the sequencer?
