Kyra from Waldorf

I would like to know as well

Latest Video

This is an exclusive from #TSR19. Lots of good stuff here.

Looks awfully close to release. Who knows though.

Expect to see this at Superbooth 19 (Elektronauts link).

ADDED: I guess the BIG NEWS is that the Kyra is going to be released in June! Not sure Waldorf wanted that leaked but here it is.

ADDED July 18th 2019, and the Kyra is still not released. So much for June!

I’d still rather have a 16 voice wavetable synth from Elektron :stuck_out_tongue:

Or maybe Elektron should have bought the Valkyrie and put their stamp on it. What would they have done with this if they had engineered it for a year and a half? Maybe they’d have added an Elektron style sequencer. Or maybe Overbridge.

I don’t imagine Waldorf’s wallet is any larger than Elektron’s.

I like it. Definitely sounds better than a Virus IMO. Nice UI.

Seems to rely a lot on it’s effects though. I don’t know if it’s basic digital sound is better than a Digitone or even a Micromonsta.

Just hooked it up for a try.

All 8 parts stream audio over USB
All 8 parts have 5 independant FX

  • EQ/Formant
  • Distortion/Limiter
  • Delay - Stereo/Ping Pong
  • Phaser
  • Chorus
  • Reverb

Filter single/Dual

  • 12dB LP
  • 24dB LP
  • 12dB BP
  • 24dB BP
  • 12dB HP
  • 24dB HP

Cool thing is the follow button… Touch a control and the screen switches to that controller i.e Filter.

I’m reading the new printed manual now I had the earlier one months ago. The sound is BIG the FX are fantastic.

  • 128 poly
  • 8 Multiparts
  • x3 LFO’s with at least 50 shapes
  • Mod matrix with 6 slots with source plus 3 destinations per source, slot amounts etc

Tons of Wavetables you can have normal/wavetable or Hypersaw

My fav OSC so far is called Video Game 2 sounds like old Atari stuff

Ok more to discover
