I doubt very much there’s any difference in supply and distribution chains, I doubt Amazon would even be making any more money out of it per pedal, beyond any license agreement for using their logo.
Amazon and the Chinese guys (cherub technology co. seem to make a lot of these) have obviously decided between them that they’ll sell more of them in the west if they’re branded with Amazon’s logo, instead of the dozen or so less well known/trusted brand names they’re currently using. It’s win win for Amazon and the manufacturer.

I guess a lot of people looking to buy super basic pedals are complete beginners who might be confused or even wary of randomly branded stuff. AmazonBasics is a ‘brand’ known for affordability and reliability.
OEM rebadging is bit different than if say they just copied existing designs and made their own copies, it is commonplace throughout consumer products.

To be frank the biggest issue with Amazon and it’s said impact is the consumer themselves, myself included.
This is why I try my best to use them when only needed( I think I average 2-4 purchases per year which is still more than I like). Often I will look to the sellers private site to purchase just so Amazon may lose their cut.
As long as folks are looking only at the price and convenience of using Amazon then Amazon will thrive.
As to the pedals and the badging I don’t see any issue with this compared to the mini pedal market at large. They all do the same thing but they can also be purchased elsewhere.
Nothing like cheap tools to get you started.

…i like companies, that are dedicated to one thing…their thing…and do the best for everything around their thing…to become a brand that stands for something…something u can trust and know what u bought it for…
most biggest ci’s out there these days, don’t stand for anything anymore but numbers…and how to keep them growing…in numbers…
