First - I don’t own one; however, I would say I’m a potential future owner.
I’ve been reading through a lot of posts on latency issues surrounding using the VST in a DAW. I’m not 100% sure but it seems related to using the included audio interface over USB. Unfortunately I’ve been unable to ascertain if it’s possible to solve these issues.
I’m using Bitwig with a separate audio interface over thunderbolt. I’d only be using the Analog Heat’s 1/4" audio in + out connections and connecting it directly to a midi interface.
Is there a scenario in which the VST will operate like this? i.e. not connecting it via USB at all.
Does the VST operate with the Overbridge disabled?
If Overbridge must be installed, enabled and the unit connected via USB - can the units built-in audio interface be completely disabled?
If I can hook this up how I want - what does the latency look like then? I’d imagine it should be negligible at that point.
