I just got the plugin, but havent had the time to make anything to post to show how it sounds.

I saw that one aswell, but Stranjah is quiet an expert, he can make things look good.
I found the time effect quite pleasing to hear - but as i understood its some of phaser module at the end. So i questioned myself how to decipher it further before i put money on it.

This one looks interesting aswell, a little more involved with having macros included .

Glitch 2 is also an obvious candidate if we are talking about glitch fx.
Stutter Edit from Izotope is somewhat similar to all of these types of plugins.

These two need midi input to change the sequence, like a midi clip playing notes - i found stutter edit not to be completely stable, it hangs itself up now and then - so i mostly render it, and use snips here and then.

I got Unfiltered Audio Triad for next to nothing in one of Plug-in Alliance’s regular discounts and it’s pretty cool for this. It’s a multi FX processor with lots of modulation options, but it can also process three frequency bands independently which gives it more subtlety than a lot of multi FX plugins.

I haven’t really gone beyond the presets but you can turn an element into something totally different just by trying some random presets and randomising the parameters. If you see it cheap it’s well worth a go.

I use NI Guitar Rig quite a bit because of its flexibility eg you can modulate things with as many LFOs as you like

Chebyshev from Soundhack is nice for distortion, needs a bit of fiddling around but works nice after reverb or echo I’ve found. I think this one is free, I know they have a couple of free stuff.

Also Noise engineering’s Ruina is great for distortion too, you can really go wild with it. Also free.

No real specific brands or FX but I’ll suggest just stacking random FX and random presets. Then use something like LFO to reshape the overall outcome. You might be surprised

It takes the incoming sound and drops the tempo of it. Like if you were to play a sample at -12 semitones it’ll slow it down. Then you can have the actual amount of semitones be modulated by the shapers automation tool and of course adjust the mix and have it only effect certain bands. On a basic level it’s great for emulating tape stop effects but you can get real wacky with it. I’m still like a more powerful version of FL Studios Grossbeat.

Looks like a combo of effectrix / glitch 2, Shaperbox, and izotopes stutter edit.

But to be honest most of this could be done in youre DAW, it’s just drawing automation.

yeah, but I love stacking these kind of plugs together and slowing them way down to extract sample fodder from them. Does anybody know what kind of Black Friday deals to expect on infiltrator?

+1 on Trash. I really wish Izotope would do a Trash 3 (or at least an Apple Silicon version of Trash 2) but it seems like that isn’t happening

Izotope just sent out an email that they are discontinuing Trash 2. No new sales and only support for 12 more months then it’s done.

R2/R4/Breaktweaker(I think it’s called that) share the same fate FYI.

Yeah I saw that, it’s a shame. But not unexpected, I guess. I find it a bit odd because Trash must have done quite well for them, but I guess it doesn’t really fit with Izotope’s core mixing/mastering type product lineup

Latest obsession is Dumpster Fire by Freakshow, was hard to handle first as it caracteristical sound can quickly overcome the result, but what a twisted pitch shifter it is !
