Volt + Ampere

hi, the volcas made it into my life … only have 2 wall warts… now I wonder will any 9V wall plug do it, or must I watch out for ampere and what not ???

thanks for all recommendations! (could I use any of the AR MD MM A4 plugs? )

Amperage needs to be a minimum of whatever the stated current draw for the unit is -if that’s not listed then the safest option is to use whatever the rating for the power supply is i.e. KA-350 can supply a 1.7A current draw.

Higher amperage is ok but the voltage needs to match.
You’ll also need to check the tip ring sleeve configuration.

Also, congratulations on the new additions!

EDIT: Looks like the AR uses a 12v supply - best not be using it…

No worries - took me a while to stop freaking out over power supplies…

KA350 is the model number for the (optional) power supply that korg has listed on the volca specifications page.

Electricity is scary.
