Volca FM plugged into input A,B cannot be muted [resolved]

Hi guys, elektron newbie here. I’ve connected my synth to input A,B and as soon as i hit play on the Volca, i can hear the sound of synth.
If the mute all my tracks except for master, i can still hear the volca.
I want to route the Volca only to one specific track. Can someone tell me what I’m missing here?

Hit the “Mix” button and turn AB DIR to 0

Some audio is still bleeding into the output. Also, turning Dir to zero, will i be able to hear the synth from the thru track?

I’ll try to explain the problem in a better way. Even if the thru track isn’t listening to input A,B i can still hear audio from volca. If i turn DIR to zero from MIX section and listen to inputs A,B from thru track, there’s still some audio coming from it. I don’t have midi connected from volca, just the audio.

Is there a sequence playing on the Volca FM?

post a few photos of your thru track and your mix

Yes, there is.

Turn DIR to zero in mix page, then on thru track INAB turn vol up, trig the track once to hear it.

But wouldn’t that mean octatrack is not receiving any signal from volca? It’s like cutting off the audio from the source?
Tried it, basically mutes the volca input.

Did you trig the track?

Would you know what do i even hear the volca when no thru track is listening to the inputs?

Yes there’s a trig on first step and a sequence is playing on volca.

In the thru track you have not selected INAB in your pic, turn encoder A to AB, then turn up encoder B to a level that you want. Make sure DIR in mix is at zero.

DIR in MIX page is for audio thru without the use of a thru machine, it isn’t related to using a THRU machine BTW.

Not sure about Octatrack but from DT, I cannot mute a MIDI track whose sequence is playing from another (FM in this case) sequencer.
I can mute a MIDI track from DT if notes are entered in the DT sequencer.
Not sure this helps.

Thank you. I misunderstood this part. Feels stupid :o
Solved! Thanks guys.
