Void - The Band

Hello everyone,
first post here. I’m Carlos Martorell. I have my solo project Shoeg, but also I’ve been experimenting with motion sensors for a while, and I’ve been working on VOID with David Viñolas for the last months to transform his movements into sound. This was our first batch of tests, 90% of sounds come from a Digitone, after transforming his motion into MIDI with a Max patch. Hope you enjoy it!

Hey dear,
I have seen a live of Deux Boules Vanille here in France : the two drummers have their batteries prepared with sensors that trig analog synths, the result was very powerful !
Might want to check it, could give you ideas

I’m using a couple of micro:bits in his wrists.

Thanks for this reference, didn’t know the guys. Will check it now!

Seen a bit, I must say this is a different approach from Greg Fox / Deux Boules Vanille, with triggers linked to drum pads. “Hits” come from up-down arm motion + post-processing, so our thing won’t behave the same way.

Of course. Your system just made me think of theirs, maybe there’s something to grab anyway
