Virtual Flannel Boiler Room Live Set (OP-1, Octa, Biscuit)

Hey there fam, recently travelled out to NY to perform at the Dirty Tapes Radio 002 Boiler Room session!!! Was my first ever show, so it was pretty crazy being a Boiler Room. All sounds and sequencing etc come from OP-1, i use the Octa for transitions between songs and some minor effects. Of course I have a good ol time on the Biscuit all the while! the set is now up on Youtube, check it out and hope you enjoy it!!!

This is great music. I’m quite shocked at what the op1 can do. Are you using it as a loop player? Some of those morphing grooves are superb. 3 machines thoroughly rinsed.

Terrific melodies and crunchy glitchy beats. Some of your best work IMHO, you’re just getting better and better on that OP-1. :+1:

Wish they’d left the dance party show playing on the TV behind you, was perfect while it lasted

Thanks virtual_flannel I had finally gotten over my gas for the OP-1 but now you have brought it back 10 fold.

Congrats VF, this is awesome! Love your new stuff

So all the tracks are from OP-1 tapes I’ve saved. Each song has 2-4 parts that I access with the shift> function on the OP to progress the songs. I also use the track buttons to bring in and out different sounds. This is basically how I record all my songs in real life. But no re-dos live so it takes practice!!

Glad I could help! OP-1s rule!!

:+1: Nice work, there’s some really sweet stuff in here! Good to hear the Biscuit bustin things up too.

I’m using the OP-1 in a very simular way. I can get like 30 four bar loops ready to play. Each loop is four tracks. Thats an insane amount of material crammed into the 6 minutes of tape. I could easily stretch that out to a three hour set. Not to mention the finger sequencers. Respect to virtual_flannel.
I love the set.

Kudos man, respect!

Super dope live set, mate.
I love how you get so much out of your gear. Limitations truely lead to creativity. Can’t wait to see you live in Germany this August.

Holy shit thats good!

Mind blown!

Some lovely bit crushing grit love it.

Thanks again for checking it out fam!
