View MIDI Chromatic notes in OT

Hey folks, new here and to the Octatrack. I love it so far, pretty amazing machine. I’ve got a hang of most of the main functions, but there is one thing I can’t seem to figure out, nor can I find it in the manual or through search.

So when in Chromatic trig mode, how do I view the recorded chords/trigs that I recored on the trig keys in Live Recording mode? The sequencer doesn’t display them. Is there some kind of MIDI notes grid view similar to the Ableton MIDI Editor? I’m basically looking for a way to view my recorded chord progression and make edits to it.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure grid recording mode is on (rec led lit). Press and hold a trig to view notes.
Pressing and holding a trig also lets you see p-locks on that trig.

The trigs you record will be displayed as normal trigs in the Grid Recording on mode (the REC key on). You can edit them from here.

Thanks for the help, that was it! Now, how do I edit the notes? Is there a way to add in another note to the chord, or shift one of the notes?

Not2, Not3, Not4 are offsets to the note you entered/recorded. Up to four notes on one midi track, if you need more than those, use two midi tracks set to the same midi channel.

Notes can be shifted with microtiming. Press and hold a trig, press left or right arrow key. You’ll see this screen this:

You can shift left or right with the arrow keys in 1/384 steps.
Trig count on this screen refers to the retrig feature, use up arrow to set number of retrigs.
Trig conditions are set with the level encoder.
