Very noob scene question

I’m sure I’ll be embarrassed I asked this someday but I can’t seem to find anything in the manual about this. How can I assign the 16 different scenes per part? When I hold scene A for example and a trig key 2 it removes the other scene on trig key 1. I’m sure I’m missing something obvious but I’m not wrapping my head around this.

Here is the section of the manual I’m looking at.

10.3.1 ASSIGNING AND ADJUSTING SCENES
To assign a scene to scene slot A, press [SCENE A] + a [TRIG] key. The chosen scene will now be
assigned to scene slot A. The procedure is the same for assigning a scene to scene slot B, but instead
press [SCENE B] + [TRIG]. It is possible to assign an empty scene to a scene slot, but note that if two
empty scenes are assigned crossfader movements will have no effect.

if you hold A and press trig 1 you select scene 1. if you hold A and press trig 2 you select scene 2. etc. Same goes for B. select your chosen scenes for A and B.

to tweak the selected scene you hold A or B and turn encoders like you do for P-locks

Okay thanks. I was expecting all scene trig lights to be lit up. I guess that’s not the case but only when selected
