Yeah, the workflow of the DFAM couldn’t be more different.
agree as an owner of a DFAM is closer to a mono semi modular synth than a dedicated drum machine like the Vermona DrumDing.
Are you still in after a year and now that we have a little more infos on it?
To be clear, I wasn’t comparing. But there is a certain immediacy, analog flow state appeal if you will, that draws parallels with the DFAM experience. And I’m down.
It’s the best of both worlds. Analog turned into One Shot digital samples in a heartbeat.
To each its own, but I would prefer to be more focused on a drum machine format when it comes to drum programming. The TV may be more flex and of course it’s capable of drum programming, but I have a Digitakt that’s close enough to that style of programming. Again, to each their own. There’s no one right or wrong machine, just a personal preference.
Well, I’d need to see more in details how the sequencer works, if it has steps per page and how the architecture is regarding kits. I’m super picky with drum machines and effectively never liked any in the world because fuck 4/4 and autosave.
Next album title? ![]()
Almost ! I’m working on it with a friend.
