Back with Octatrack.
This time I midi connected it with my Venom synth and iPad Animoog. Tests went well, tho there was weird thumbing sound in song tempo if my laptop were in iConnect with Octatrack (OT midi out - iC midi 2 in), iPad (iC usb 2 - iPad) and Venom (iC midi 1 out - Venom midi in). Problem fixed by removing laptop from iC usb 1.
Also played a bit with Parts by resampling and messing up my songs and coming back to Part 1.

Back again, built Shruthi in the meantime. Nice little box and very beautiful with the better metal/wood enclosure.
One thing makes me wonder, when I program some midi on midi track and try to change the prog/patch on Shruthi in midi note setup, it does change the patch but does visit the original patch briefly on first step. How can I make the prog change default?
Ok, made some research and found out that you have to disable the pattern based program change - track based program changes are still enabled.

Soo, got a voice mail this AM from Sweetwater and my Octatrack is OTW! Question I have is; I have many samples/ideas from previous uses that were mostly at 48/24. Should I resample them going into the OT or dither them before hand.

I record in to the OT at 16 bit. Happy with the results.
The material going in is at an infinite bit rate so I guess I’m reducing considerably 
.
