Valhalla Delay

I suppose that the original literal definition is that something is slightly out-of-alignment but in this context it means not quite as expected or not flowing right. But I didn’t want to say it so explicitly as that would be overly critical. Off-kilter softens it to say that I found that the dry bassline felt a little awkward but that’s not necessarily wrong. Then when the mix is turned up the tails of delay fill the rhythm out and it was really sounding nice.

Anyways… rambling aside, I got a chance to play with ValhallaDelay yesterday and it is all kinds of fantastic. Live tweaking of the delay times feels so natural and sounds really lush. And there so much fun to be had with the feedback over 100% and creating walls of texture.
