Hi just out of curiosity I was wondering if when transferring samples using Transfer if the samples are loaded into the current project on the Digitakt and you move them onto your computer will they stay on the Digitakt when you move them as well as being on your computer?

wonderful though the DT is, its file handling is from the iron ages. Handle with care. Make a dummy project and then explore the various options available to you - C6, VST Total Recall & ElkHerd safe in the knowledge that if it goes wrong you’ve lost nothing.
It’s actually quite easy to make backups on the DT with official methods. Transfer let’s you drag and drop sample from the plus drive to the computer and as long as you aren’t on OS X Catalina making a sysex project backup C6 is also quite easy.
Elk herd is an amazing tool for DT management as well.
But to reiterate the answer for the OP question. Backing up a sample from the DT to a computer using transfer doesn’t delete the sample from the DT.
