It’s really easy. If you record the output of a OT track (or the master, or a cue mix) the recording will be at the exact same AMPLITUDE as the source (unless you start messing around with GAIN settings which you do not need to do unless you need to CORRECT something. To play back the recording at the exact same VOLUME as the source, the output LEVEL of the recording track should be at UNITY which is 127 otherwise you’re attenuating. The default 108 setting is equivalent to -3dB, that’s what you are experiencing probably.
