Using Octatrack as effect unit cue's only

Is there any way to use the Octatrack as just an effect unit with a synth going in to cue and out of cue. Or does it have to come out of the main mix which I have been able to do.

Thanks

It is perfectly possible! And explained in the manual and there’s a lot of topics on the subject. Try ‘cue out fx’ in the search function!

Anybody? Can’t work it out. Not a lot on the forum I can find.

Can’t go in to Cue.
You can go it to In, set one of your tracks as a ‘thru’, select which input via the first scene and use the last two scenes on that track to apply effects. You can have a ‘neighbor’ on the track below it for two more. And two more on a master track if you’re not going to use the OT for anything else.
Hold down Cue and turn the level knob to set the Cue output level for the neighbor track if you go that route, or the ‘thru’ track if you did not.
You can also switch the OT to ‘studio’ mode which makes the Cue outs look more like mains. Funtion + Mixer, Control, Audio.

Thanks for that will give it a go this evening
