On a travel I kind of lost my power supply for my DN. Local stores here offer Power Supply PSU-3 (not the b !) but they aren’t the officially recommended power supply.
Though they have same voltage and a higher amperage for the PSU-3. So it should be fine but I don’t want to risk anything :D.
Anyone had some experience on it ?
Assuming the barrel is the same which we can probably take for granted - then the PSU3 is also 12v centre positive and is rated at 2.5A as opposed to the 2.0A of the PSU3b
Basically you’re paying more for capacity you don’t need, but it should be perfectly safe as you have proposed
Correct - the device will draw only as much current as it needs for operation. It’ll be happy with either PSU. Though, I am surprised that there are multiple 12V PSU’s.
