Hi all, I just got a MnM about a week ago. I already own a SidStation and a Rytm so I’m pretty familiar with Elektron’s architecture, and the C6 software.
For the life of me, I can’t get C6 to send sysex nor Digipro packs to the Mnm.
Connections are pretty straightforward - I connect a MIDI out from my iConnect MIDI4+ interface to teh MIDI in on the MnM, I set the right ports on the C6 config with all the right checkboxes ticked…
I tried transferring the Oxford pack and followed the instructions but when it was about time to send the Digipro data, C6 doesn’t seem to send and the MnM is still on “waiting” mode.
One thing I noticed is that the Oxford manual says to set C6 Config to send and Receive to “Monomachine” but the Monomachine is not USB MIDI…it’s just connected via regular MIDI cable through an Interface…so there is no “Monomachine” MIDI device really
I tried to send Sysex form my DAw which definitely shows that it is sending to the MnM but it’s producing a lot of send errors…
At least I know that the MnM is able to receive.
Any idea what I am missing?
Thanks,
Eitan

An update - it’s definitely a C6 issue.
I was able to successfully transfer Syx files using the Free SendSX software.
So I guess there is something going on with the C6 and the iConnect MIDI interfaces…
Now,since I have this issue, is there an alternative to send Digipro packs i.e. the Oxford pack etc.
Thanks,
Eitan

Well…I guess a workaround is to save the Syx files out of the C6 utility and use a different Sysex tool to import them into a DigiPro bank. A little slower but it works eventually.
Not sure why the C6 software would not work but it is definitely the culprit.

a new tm1 firmware was just released. did you update?
did you try 2 different midi cables, maybe a shorter one?
which sysex software did you use?midiox?
which OS are you on ? win7 64 bit ?

Hi there,
I don’t own a TM1.
I connected the MnM to my iConnect MIDI MIDI interface. I did try several MIDI cables but I can see it’s just a C6 problem.
I used SendSX which is a free Sysex utility.
I’m on Win7 64 bit.
