how does one get the AR to read an audio signal through the audio in port at the back(next to the stereo outputs). i thought that should be the simplest thing but couldn’t figure it out. anyone?
plug in an insert cable and hook up source (or any stereo cable to suit). Done. That’s it, you can use some of the distortion and the compressor !

If you look at the schematic pic in the manual (p 6): The external input just runs throug the compressor, nothing more. What I find a kind of a pity anayway…
Is this to be fixed with a software update?

as i mentioned, it also goes through a part of the circuit shown on the distortion page (the sym) - best to set up some compression first then adjust to audition

well, they have the delay ‘grit’ knob in there and the pre filter ovd knob is in the amp page - some things don’t fit in the UI or tie up with the diagram, just laid out that way as a compromise, but the SYM indeed works on external - there’s more on this in another thread … !
