Not in front of the AR to check - do I understand correctly that Save Track command will save both current Pattern AND Sound?
Nope, just the track afaik
track is a part of the pattern
sound is a part of the kit (on a given track) the kit is linked to a pattern
save a track to mess with it and restore it without resorting to restore the whole pattern, handy for fx track e.g.
But aren’t track fx already part of the sound and subsequently of the kit? Failing to understand how saving Track is different…
Sorry, I’m failing to understand what you’re failing to understand !
fx sends are irrelevant (yes fx sends are part of the sound)
fx are part of the kit
patterns are linked to kits
patterns contain tracks, 12 tracks for percussives and 1 for fx plocking
save a track (if you want) you can then revert to it without reverting to the saved state of the whole pattern !
save a pattern will save all tracks
Man, cheers for that - finally it clicked! And also “12 tracks for percussives and 1 for fx plocking” - that is a bloody revelation. Back to the manual I guess.
Thanks much
