Maybe thats the problem, information is scattered allover the place, and the threads that do exist have conflicting info. And seem a bit US-focussed, just like the battery-threads. I haven’t found a good candidate and have been reading all those threads.
If you do think such a thread exists, linking to that thread is actually more useful than saying it exists. Or wasn’t that the point?

This thread has some recommendations, but also some warnings, and its a bit unclear wheiter the stated hubs were used with one or two Elektrons. Which is where MTT matters.

Maybe at some point its a good plan to make a verified list and put that in the files section. Bound to be more people in need of this and its easier to link to when someone wants to know. We’re nice people, on a nice forum about nice machines.

Yeah, saw that one and an Anker-hub, but both seem unavailable in Holland, or at least pretty hard to come by. Might be the same in Germany…
i provide useful information on at least 3 other threads that already exist and have recommendations and serious discussion on what to look out for - it’s a disservice to everyone to create another - and tbh, i don’t need to sit here and provide info or links, but by enlightening the op (who didn’t even try) he’ll find all the good stuff - i won’t bother to flip it by pointing out that a commentary on the lack of my doing the legwork was even less useful, i note the links didn’t appear above either … anyways

None of the stated seem available in the EU, and the Anker seems to run max 6 channels for two devices so not good…
Also it seems some hubs have different incarnations with different chipsets? Not helping…

Worth the wait for aesthetic reasons imo.
The Transcend recommended in that thread is most certainly available in the EU; I just bought one.

The two hubs I have laying about, a Belkin USB 2.0 4 port and a Sitecom USB 2.0 7 port, both are fine with one box, 8 channels. 10 for the AK if you activate 8 in 2 outs. But neither accept a second box on it simply not letting it connect. Which is weird as what I understood the MTT means it can take multiple protocols on one hub, and two boxes is basically one protocol, they’re the same, so it should work.
As far as Overhub’s concerned there’s a second pro next to it just working, and that is that its a supported solution. But I fear it won’t be released at a competetive price point… judging by the price for the usb-cables.
Someone perhaps should make one of the USB-threads a sticky, maybe even this one, in the general Overbridge section. Maybe with a first post containing a summary of chipsets and found and proven hubs per region…

if the single transaction translator in your hubs i wonder if it reduces the overall bandwidth available to 12Mb/s (the upper range of usb1.1)
if your hub is 480 and you attach a usb2 device, the overall bandwidth is still 480, but NOT per device (each won’t need that much normally so it’s not apparent until you attach too many hungry devices), so using the transaction translator will compromise the rest of the hub in your case (my guess) - you only have 12MB/s available by blowing it on one usb1 speed OB connection - however ,my understanding was that a normal hub would take care of one such low speed device no problems and leave you the balance of your bandwidth - so attaching a mouse wouldn’t scupper the performance.
I might have expected two OB devices to play ball on that premise ! Maybe disconnect all other devices to experiment. Another aspect is that the OB is running off a USB2 chip at a usb1 speed, so there may be nuances - ultimately they recommend MTT for a reason, they are out there, but i think there needs to be some explanation offered by Elektron (i just did a bit of research to make my own conclusions from the early OB commentary)
