USB Host for parallel tasks?

Hi,

Owner of an octatrack,

And quite ready to buy a synth to compliment it (think the OP-1 which needs USB for MIDI), I also want one day to add a MIDI controller for the OT.

So my question is, would it be possible, with one USB host as Iconnect or Kenton or Cerebellus, to 1) plug a controller to control the OT, and
2) send the clock and some MIDI CCs or sequences from the OT to the synth

So is there some USB hosts capable of this parallel and bidirectional routing?

I should believe most USB / DIN MIDI converters to support bidirectionality. I only have a bomebox myself, it can do something like that easily.

Bomebox seems indeed great, seems a bit pricey to me…

But after some more research, I found that 100$ boxes only have 1 USB port, thus needing to add a USB hub, thus more cables and connections…

Seems the OpLab is the only device with 2 USB host ports…
