Hi guys. For those with newer MacBooks (and windows pc with usb-c) – do you use usb hubs or USB B > USB C cables? I read that overbridge is not supporting any hubs etc. but Elektron actually shows digitakt connected to Mac via hub which is really funny. I am experiencing many problems with usb hubs but also with usb c cable … so I am not sure which option is better
USB hubs that are MTT are going to give you far less problems than regular hubs.
Can you confirm that your hub is MTT?
PS, there are a few MTT USB hub threads on this forum, accessible by search.
Anybody simply using USB-B to USB-C cables with their Elektrons and Mac rather then using a USB-A/C dongle???
Cool!!
Feels daft having 3 or 4 adapters hanging out the back of ones Mac and I have enough spare ports to not require a hub
Hi.
Does anyone know if a simple USB A to USB C adapter would work?
I may buy a new laptop, and currently my MTT USB hub has a fixed USB A cable to connect to the laptop, so changing the cable only is not an option.
Thanks in advance.
I’ve got several of those things, they work fine. They only adapt the plug so it fits in the port and have no hub functionality so it’s impossible to have MTT issues.
Thanks!
