As I was researching various grooveboxes, I saw that polyend tracker mini actually shows multiple tracks ala overbridge on Mac/PC, but on iPadOS with AUM. Since it appears this isn’t being blocked by Apple, is it possible we could get similar functionality with elektron boxes down the line?
You can email support@elektron.se and ask, but anything here will be speculation and guessing.
There’s a difference between a possibility and an intent to act, so I think both of those need to align in order for this to happen via an Elektron provided app and they’ve made no move in that direction thus far.
So theoretically sure it’s possible, but is it likely? Anyone’s guess is a good as the next unless it’s a developer and they probably sign NDAs so contacting support is your best hope of getting an informed answer from someone authorized to comment on any plans for this type of cross device software implementation.
Would be more likely to get to the right people, at least.
Or to be noted for prioritization.
Yeah, but if this person wants a response it’s not going to come from the feature request address.
Might be a good idea to BCC both addresses on the same email just in case though.
A response on unreleased product feature roadmaps will not come from the support email either, why not set expectations early :>
I don’t know that that’s the case, nothing was ever gained by not trying, except maybe an airborne virus. Some of those get around pretty well on their own, but nothing other than that. So, to me, there’s still a chance and I wouldn’t want to be negative or convince someone else that it’s pointless to ask questions.
It’s true though that no one here is going to have a proper answer, and you never know what people at elektron will say so it’s always a good practice to have the resources available and make your own decisions, right?
Those devices use class-compliant USB audio to send multiple audio streams.
Elektron gear cannot do the same. It relies on a proprietary driver (Overbridge) to “unscramble’ the audio in the computer.
iPadOS now has the capacity for drivers like this, but Elektron would have to write one. Totally possible I guess, but maybe not so likely.
I tried emailing and it said to open a support ticket, but their site doesn’t seem to have the option to create a new account at the moment. I will try the feature request email.
