Urgent help after purchase! :D

Hey Guys,

How are you today!?

I just bought a Rytm last night after 3 months of research and this is happening

Having issues with pad 2 in chromatic and mute mode!
So bummed right now…

Is this happening to you guys?
I have red some bad stuff about the rytm pads but this can’t be good

I think it’s pretty clear-cut… Send these video links to Elektron support, they’ll guide you forward. I think it’s gonna have to go in for repairs, sorry

I was afraid this would be the answer…

I have done test mode and it is ok though! weird!
Done factory reset as well…

The weird thing is that the pad 2 works otherwise!
Just in Chromatic and mute mode the issue is happening.

Use a midi monitor to examine the response differences to hopefully get an insight into what is wrong, it doesn’t look good, fwiw when i press multiple trigs in mute i get mixed results, when pressing like a strum they toggle impeccably, but your issue is as mentioned clear cut and unworkable, if it’s new it should be simple for you to resolve to your satisfaction without delay

mmm…have you also tried to reinstall the firmware?
the pad does work in other modes right?

Hey guga,

Yep in “normal” mode they di even if the Pad 2 is a bit capricious for finger roll

I did reinstall the firmware and nothing will do.
I have contacted Elektron support and I am waiting for an answer.

I just spoke to the nice guy that sold it to me and he said that the Rytm is just coming back from Elektron;s repair center where it’s been 3 weeks already for the same thing!!!

They told him it was fixed but it’s easy to see that it’s not

Anyway thanks again for input guys, this one is a head cracker since I can’t figure out if it is software or hardware related.
