Upgrading from the Model Samples

A short while ago I purchased a Model Samples my first bit of hardware in well over a decade used a RM1x & ER-1 before. I wanted a cheap way to find if I liked the Elektron workflow and I enjoy it a lot. I mostly make Minimal & Dub Techno and I have been thinking about what to go for. My original idea was to buy a used Digitakt however the mk2 and Syntakt have also caught my eye and have been liking what I see from both machines. I would like whichever one I get to be the heart of the operation adding Synths, Mixer & Pedals etc down the line to maybe get into doing some live stuff. I’m open to suggestion for other Elektron boxes also. Any help is appreciated.

Without any doubt, the Digitakt II. It has become the centerpiece of my Live setup.

If I was going to own a Digitakt again, I’d splurge for the MKII.

DT 2 and Syntakt is quite the dream team. I’m currently using Octatrack and Syntakt together and really enjoy it.

I recently got an MPC Live 2, which at the moment is a glorified clip launcher for my live shows. Sound quality is so good, as are the many onboard fx and instrument plugins. Lacks a lot of the Elektron sequencer magic though, for me.

Thanks for the fast replies DT2 seems like a very good option and I do like that it is the newest so hopefully gets more updates and support for longer.
