Upgrade to 1.20 fails: Checksum Error

Hello!

I’m trying to update my Digitakt from 1.11 to 1.20 using the Transfer app on a MacBook. The transfer app connects just fine, I can transfer samples without any issue, but, when I set the dt to ‘OS Upgrade’ and send the sysex to it, I get an immediate ‘UPGRADE FAILED CHECKSUM ERROR’ message on the Digitakt.

Any one else experiencing this? Any work around?

Do not use OB mode

And redownload firmware just in case

Yes I read that, I have it on USB MIDI mode. Also redownloaded like three times to be sure

Use C6 if you aren’t on Catalina or maybe you need to check you have the latest version of Transfer

It was the transfer app! I had downloaded it but also had the previous version on the downloads folder and installed the wrong one…
