Unintended program changes sent

Does anyone know why my korg triton le changes programs while my octatrack isn’t (to my knowledge) sending data to change programs? It seems very random and I don’t like it. Haven’t used the triton for about ten years, if that matters. Thank you for any help you have.

You can send Program Changes with each midi track in Midi Note Setup page, and in the Midi Sync menu.

But at the moment I hope to stop unwanted program changes from randomly occurring. Maybe there’s an unsolvable glitch inside either device but I haven’t yet isolated the issue by switching out a device to see if it happens with others devices. Wait. Now that I think about it, my moog voyager didnt randomly change programs when I direct connected that with the OT. Then it must be the triton causing this. I should try unplugging a midi cable or unchecking the direct connect. I’ll experiment more but I hoped for the quick forum solution. Thank you, Sezare56.

I don’t know why there would be random PC.

Thank you anyway.

Random? Or consistent and replicatable?

Could be via midi notes as @sezare56 said; or via stored program changes in Parts.

But totally random? That would be interesting. As always when dealing with midi issues, a midi monitor comes in handy.
