Unifono - MPC Live testdrive (electronica)

Finally found some time to make a track on the MPC and record a little video…
Sounds are some sliced loops from samplepacks, Digitone for synth sounds, the MPC’s Electric plugin for the Rhodes sound and a harp like sound from the roli seaboard block.
This is just tracks muting/unmuting, contrary to its name the MPC seems much more suited for creating tracks rather than performing them.

Hope you enjoy it.

Nice chilled melody lines.

Well, MPC stands for Music Production Center, not Performance Center.

I haven’t looked into the specs of the MPC Live, but the 1000, 2000 etc are pretty good tools for live, what with modulations and retrigger assignable to the slider and triggering of one-shot patterns from the pads. Maybe the 1000 is more suited to Live than the MPC Live?

Thanks!
Probably I just didn’t spend enough time with it yet

Sounds good man!

Did you use the MPC software for arranging?

Thank you!
I didn‘t arrange yet.
I‘m muting and unmuting tracks in the video and arrange on the fly so to say

In spite of its qualities, that’s actually why I sold mine.

(fine tune nonetheless)

thanks. I‘m not sure if it‘s a keeper.
Have to test it for a while

Elektron completely spoiled the sequencer game for me. P-locks, conditionals… at this point everytime I try another brand I keep asking me why don’t they just copy them.

that‘s true. the moc doesn‘t feel as fast as the elektrons.
on the other hand the pads give you more direct input, playing feeling…
