Every review I read prior to buying my AK said that the keys were exposed form underneath and could be easily broken but mine, which I got second-hand, has an “L” section bar across it that sits flush with the edge of the cabinet. Is this something Elektron have done or did the guy I bought it from put it on?

I’ve taken it off because I kind of like the way it looks with it off and it works better for me if it is further forward on the little desktop stand I have for it, which would otherwise interfere with the kickstand on my Surface Pro and leave a gap of about 8cm. With the bar off, the keys can overhang by 4 or 5cm, making it much easier to play.
